Soldier’s last rites in Kolar today

KOLAR GOLD FIELDS: Last rites of Army jawan Raghunathan (29), who was reportedly killed during an encounter on Sunday in Samba town of Jammu and Kashmir, will be performed here on Wednesday.

Mr. Raghunathan was the son of Arjunan and Vasagi, residents of Ambedkar Nagar here. He joined the Army in 1999 and was serving in New Delhi.

He was transferred to Jammu division six months ago.

Mr. Raghunathan visited his home a few months ago.

Vasagi, who was in a state of shock after receiving news about her son’s death, has been admitted to a local private hospital.
