‘Bid to insult spiritual leaders’
Thiruvananthapuram: The Hindu Aikya Vedi has deplored what it described as the bid of the Home Minister and the leaders of the Democratic Youth Federation of India to insult ‘sanyasis’ and spiritual leaders instead of probing Santhosh Madhavan’s deals and bringing him before the law. Kummanam Rajasekharan, general secretary of the Vedi, in a statement here on Tuesday said it was an attempt to divert attention from the real issue and help the culprit to escape. Santhosh Madhavan had said he had not embraced ‘sanyasa’ in a proper manner, he was not a ‘sanyasi’ and had not set up an ashram, Mr. Rajasekharan said. — Special Correspondent
