ALAPPUZHA: Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan has hit out at critics of the 92 per cent pass percentage in the SSLC examinations, whose results were announced on Tuesday. Speaking after inaugurating the Tsunami Memorial Block of the Valiyazheekal Government Higher Secondary School here on Tuesday, Mr. Achuthanandan said there were vested interests trying to create a controversy out of the results. However, the State government would not be detracted by such attempts. It would go ahead with reforms in the education sector. These were being introduced after proper discussions. The Chief Minister inaugurated the work on the long-delayed seawall at Tharayilkadavu at Arattupuzha.
