Inspiring them to uphold lofty ideals



laurels: The Rashtriya Military School lifted the Championship Trophy at the All India IPSC Interschool Boxing Tournament held recently in Bangalore.

BANGALORE: The Army Public School recently celebrated the silver jubilee of the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), its governing body, by organising a variety of programmes over a week.

During the morning assembly, teachers apprised the children of the society’s activities and services, also of the institutions run by it, there by instilling in them a sense of pride in being part of the nationwide organisation.

AWES is rendering great service to armed services personnel by providing their children quality education.

The children drew inspiration from the lofty ideals embodied in the society’s motto — Truth is God.

Champions

The Rashtriya Military School lifted the Championship Trophy at the All India IPSC Interschool Boxing Tournament held recently in Bangalore.

Motilal Nehru Sports School, Rai (Haryana), was the runners up. Manjeet of MN Sports School, Rai, was adjudged the best boxer. Ashutosh Wahne of Rashtriya Military School, Bangalore, received the most scientific boxer prize.

Digital library

A digital library was inaugurated recently at the Sri Jnanakshi Vidyaniketan in Rajarajeshwari Nagar. The library, set up by the Rajarajeshwari Nagar Rotary Centennial Club, would generate enthusiasm among students, said District Governor of Rotary Rajendra Rai.

Investiture ceremony

The Parachute Regiment School held its investiture ceremony recently. Col. Yash Saxena, who was the chief guest, administered oath to the new prefects.
