City plunged into darkness

Many areas were plunged into darkness on Tuesday night, for more than an hour, from 8.30 p.m. onwards. This happened due to the tripping of a 33 KV line in the Siripuram feeder, which eventually cut the incoming at the 132 KV sub station in Nakkavanipalem.

According to the AP Transco officials the Siripuram line was isolated and the power was restored.
