RBI nod for bank to do ‘forex trade’

The Reserve Bank of India has granted permission to the Anna Nagar Branch of the Indian Overseas Bank to carry out ‘foreign exchange trade.’ According to a release, customers could send money and draft to people aboard. Those abroad could deposit money in the accounts of this branch. Further, customers can also covert foreign currency into domestic ones. People can also carry out export and import activities.
