Women SHGs to be graded for financial aid

KANCHEPEURAM: Elaborate arrangements have been made for grading of women self-help groups through 60 nationalised bank branches in the district to help them avail of revolving fund/economic assistance.

Grading of women SHGs by a team of officials from the District Rural Development Authority, Mahalir Thittam, THADCO and respective bank branch officials will be held at nationalised bank branches in the blocks on the following dates : Kancheepuram block – Indian Overseas Bank, Sevilimedu; Punjab National Bank, Kancheepuram; Dena Bank, Kancheepuram; State Bank of India, Ayyampettai and Indian Bank, Magaral – May 20; Wallajahbad block – IB, Kammavarpalayam; Kancheepuram and Wallajabad; Canara Bank, Paranthur – May 21.

Kattankolathur block – IB, Athur; Chengalpattu and Guduvancheri; SBI, Chengalpattu – May 22; Uthiramerur block – Bank of India, Kammalampoondi; CB, Uthiramerur; IB, Arumpuliyur and Manampathi – May 23.

Kundrathur block – IOB, Kundrathur and Manimangalam; SBI, Somangalam; Union Bank of India, Oragadam and South Indian Bank, Padappai – May 24; Madurantakam block – CB, Patalam; SBI, Madurantakam and Karunkuzhi; IB, Mamandur and CB, Cheyyur – May 25; Thirukazhukundram block – CB, Kalpakkam; IOB, Mamallapuram; IB, P.V.Kalathur and SBI, Thirukazhukundram – May 29.

Sriperumpudur block – IB, Sriperumpudur and Valarpuram; CB, Maduramangalam and SBI, Sriperumpudur – May 30; Chithamur block – CB, Kayapakkam, Central Bank of India, Chithamur and IB, Idaikazhinadu – May 31.

Achirapakkam block – IOB, Achirapakkam and L.Endathur; CBI, Kadamalaiputhur, Sothupakkam and IB, Ramapuram – June 2; Lattur block – CB, Cheyyur and Kodur; SBI, Anaikattu and IB, Koovathur – June 3.

Tiruporur block – IB, Kovalam and Tiruporur; CBI, Kelambakkam – June 4 and St.Thomas Mount block – IB, Asthinapuram; Neelankarai; Pallavaram; Rajakilpakkam and Sholinganallur; SBI, Tambaram and Pallavaram; Andhra Bank, Medavakkam; UCO Bank, Rajakilpakkam – June 5.

Eligible women SHGs who wish to avail of revolving fund or economic assistance should approach the bank branches concerned in their block on the specified dates along with necessary documents required for grading, according to a press release.
