Vijayawada: Satyam Computers will be conducting an all-India inter-collegiate tournament involving various universities from July to December 2008, according to Dr. M.V. Sridhar, former Hyderabad Ranji skipper and assistant vice-president, corporate services of the company, here on Tuesday. Sridhar said that the company had selected 10 States — A.P., Karnatakata, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Goa, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Manipur, Delhi and Punjab, where the inter-colleges tournaments will be held. “After the preliminary rounds, an all-India tournament will be held and the winner will play in the South African league,” he added. Cricket selectionsKrishna District Cricket Association (KDCA) will conduct selection trials to select a district u-22 team to take part in the inter-district matches for Central Zone of ACA at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium on May 18 at 7.30 a.m. Players who are born on or after 1-9-1986 are eligible.
