Anantapur
ANANTAPUR: Anantapur district has achieved another distinction by topping the State in the implementation of annual credit plan during the just concluded 2007-08 financial year. The district has achieved honours in disbursement of crop loans and lending to the priority sector with the achievement of 123 per cent and 117 pc, respectively. With the successful implementation of Aarogya Sri, NREGS, Pavala Vaddi, dairy farming, Indiramma houses and other schemes with the cooperation of all the concerned the district had surpassed several developed districts of Coastal Andhra, District Collector N. Sridhar claimed on Wednesday.
