Association launches website

KOCHI: Kerala Gazetted Officers’ Association (KGOA) has launched a website kgoaonline.org early this month ahead of the 42nd annual conference of the Association in Kochi on May 16 and 17.

The Association represents the interests of middle level State civil servants like doctors, engineers, agricultural officers, scientific and technical officers.

The launching of the website is expected to improve networking between like-minded people in the association.

It also aims at helping members of the public by providing downloads of various forms required for submitting applications to different government departments.

The Association has 16,892 members. A series of workshops and seminars are being organised to improve the efficiency of KGOA members and the quality of the services being offered. The Association also conducted six regional workshops and compiled a detailed proposal on the formulation of 11th Plan schemes.

Discussions on the development of the State’s agriculture and industry will be a part of the annual conference.

Two photo exhibitions, organised at the Town Hall will focus on the ‘new face of imperialism’ and ‘Keraleeyam—the empowerment of women’. The exhibitions will be open for days. Chief Minister V. S. Achuthanandan will inaugurate the delegates’ meet on May 16 at the Town Hall.
