ANANTAPUR: Donations from different organisations, employees’ associations and philanthropists kept pouring in to Anantha Aanimuthyalu Society formed by the district administration to help meritorious students from poor families continue education after SSC with necessary financial assistance. –Staff Reporter

ANANTAPUR: The Bar Association of Anantapur on Wednesday condemned the serial bomb blasts in Pink City, Jaipur, in Rajasthan by terrorists on Tuesday evening. The body also condemned acid attack on member of Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh V. Sreenivasa Reddy at Vijayawada by miscreants. –Staff Reporter

ANANTAPUR: The State government has released Rs. 5.82 crore to the district for provision of basic amenities and repairs in welfare hostel buildings. According to Collector N. Sridhar Rs. 3.19 crore has been sanctioned to 114 social welfare hostels, Rs. 1.36 crore to BC welfare hostels and Rs. 1.27 crore to 20 ST welfare hostels. –Staff Reporter
