Police to get tough on traffic violations
Staff Reporter
Bangalore: Are you caught violating traffic rules repeatedly? Then be prepared to pay a hefty penalty the next time. Yes, the city traffic police are digitising their records which will enable them to track habitual offenders.
Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic and Security) Praveen Sood told reporters here on Tuesday the police have developed a comprehensive database of those who were booked for various traffic offences earlier either through Blackberry or the automated traffic monitoring centres. Unlike earlier, now the two databases are being merged.
