Enumeration of small units to begin in July

Special Correspondent

VILLUPURAM: The enumeration of the micro, small and medium enterprises in Villupuram district will be undertaken in July 2008, according to Mahalingam, General Manager, District Industries Centre (DIC).

In a statement here, he noted that this exercise was part of the national-level enumeration to be carried out to compile a database on the existing micro, small and medium units.

The enumerators would gather details on various aspects of the industries, including the fixed assets such as plant and machinery, networth, raw materials and other characteristics.

They would also collect information on the sick units.

All information thus collected would be kept confidential and would be utilised only for statistical purposes.

Therefore, the General Manager has appealed to the entrepreneurs to cooperate fully with the enumerators.
