Invitation to new singers

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: New singers in and outside India can participate in the Gandharva Sangeetham competition being organised jointly by the Swaralaya and the Kairali Channel for the Yesudas Award. The Swaralaya said in a press note here on Wednesday that the preliminary competitions would be held in Kerala and in Chennai, Mumbai and Bangalore. The competitions would be held in two categories — juniors (10 to 17 years) and seniors (18 to 30 years). The applicants should record one or more of their songs in audio cassette or CD and send it along with their personal details by May 25. — Special Correspondent
