Mission to relieve distress

Myanmar-bound: Relief materials being loaded on to the French ship ‘Mistral’ docked at the Chennai port on Wednesday to assist those affected by the cyclone in Myanmar. France pulled out the ship from an Indo-French naval combat exercise off the east coast to dispatch relief. Rice, tarpaulins, mosquito nets, kitchen utensils and emergency medical supplies are being loaded on to the ship, which can carry up to 1,500 tonnes.
