Advocates accused of abusing Dalits

KOLAR: Gulpet police have registered a case against four advocates for allegedly abusing two Dalits at the court premises here. According to a complaint filed by Narayanswamy of Seethi village, advocates Manjunath, Kallandur Lokesh, Kembodi Ramesh and Abbani Anand abused him and his friend, E. Bairappa, by mentioning their caste, which is an offence under the Prevention of Atrocities (SC and ST) Act. The accused reportedly misbehaved with the complainant on Monday.
