Jawan laid to rest

KOLAR GOLD FIELDS: The mortal remains of Army jawan Raghunathan, who was killed in an encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir last Sunday, was laid to rest here on Wednesday with full military honours.

Several revenue and police officials, including KGF Superintendent of Police Shivkumar paid tributes. Hundreds of people gathered to pay their last respects to the brave jawan of the area who lost his life in the fight against terrorism.

Former MLAs S. Rajendran and M. Bhaktavatsalam were among other dignitaries present. — Staff Correspondent
