Kin agitate over youth’s death

VISAKHAPATNAM: A youth died allegedly due to the negligence of a RMP. According to Parawada SI Pydepu Naidu, the victim Veera Venkata Appa Rao, 28, took treatment for jaundice from Sattibabu of Parawada on May 5. The RMP allegedly failed to cure him of his illness and the patient went to some other doctors before finally getting admitted to Krushi Hospital. He died while undergoing treatment on Tuesday night.

The relatives of Appa Rao staged a dharna opposite the Parawada police station seeking action against the RMP. The accused person was taken into custody.

Fire in timber depot

Logs worth Rs.3 lakhs were destroyed in a major fire at a timber depot near NAD Kotha Road in the early hours of Wednesday.

Body found

The body of an unidentified woman was found near the tsunami yard at Karnavanipalem on Wednesday.
