Six held for dacoities

NEW DELHI: Six persons have been arrested by the Crime Branch of the police in connection with a series of dacoities in Outer Delhi.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team laid a trap near Alipur village on Tuesday evening and arrested five persons while they were allegedly planning to commit dacoity in the area. At their instance, the police later arrested Ravi on charges of receiving stolen goods.

A .315 bore country-made pistol, two live cartridges, four daggers, five mobile phones and a Tata-407 have been seized, the police said.
