Juvenile home inmate hurt

Coimbatore: Sabari (13), an inmate at the Juvenile Observation Home on Avanashi Road in the city, who was allegedly beaten up by three other inmates was admitted to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital on Wednesday.

The speech impaired boy was rushed to the hospital after he complained of stomach pain and started vomitting.

It is learnt that the boy picked up by the Kerala police on suspicion was handed over to their Tamil Nadu counterparts. Preliminary investigations revealed that he was beaten up by three inmates. The Home accommodates 46 boys and six girls.
