HSBC Global wins
VISAKHAPATNAM: HSBC Global Resourcing won the VDCA institutions league, beating HPCL by 26 runs in the last super league match here on Wednesday.
Cargo Handlers Pool took the runner-up slot after it defeated Naval Dockyard by six wickets in another match.
Medium pacer Waziruddin claimed six wickets in the second consecutive match and T. Jitesh hit a fine 69 in HSBC’s victory. Medium pacer P. Venkatapathi Raju’s six-wicket haul and Abhishek’s bright knock of 92 went in vain as HPCL.
Ch. Rammohan with an unbeaten 72 led Cargo Handlers to victory.
The scores:
HSBC Global Resourcing 243 in 29.5 overs (T. Jitesh 69, Ranjit 50, P. Vankatapathi Raju six for 70) bt HPCL 217 in 29 overs (Abhishek 92, Waziruddin six for 76).
Naval Dockyard 184 for seven in 30 overs (A.K. Rao 54, Raja Rao 42 n.o.) lost to Cargo Handlers Pool 185 for four in 25.2 voers (Ch. Rammohan 72 n.o.).
