Nivedhan bowls Facit Asia to victory

Kancheepuram: V.K. Nivedhan (five for nine) enabled Facit Asia defeat Syndicate Bank by 81 runs in a second division match of the Kancheepuram DCA cricket league held here recently.

The scores:

I division: Guru Nanak Combines 152 for nine in 30 overs (M. Yuvaraj 40) tied with Garnet 152 for eight in 30 overs (S. Jayachandran 51, E. Mani four for 42).

Friends XI (Tbm) 178 for five in 30 overs (Sundar 70) drew with Brindavan 118 for five in 21.5 overs (A. Arif 40, T. Balaji 46). Bad light stopped play.

II division: Facit Asia 130 for six in 20 overs (V.T.S. Narayanan 65, Dharani four for 27) bt Syndicate Bank 49 in 15.2 overs (V.K. Nivedhan five for nine).

Jai 156 for five in 20 overs (M.R. Shankar 52, R. Chandrasekar 56) bt Prahalad 81 for eight in 20 overs.

Areva T&D 125 for eight in 20 overs (Ramesh four for 40) lost to Vijay 126 for five in 19.5 overs.
