Red Ribbon Express to spread AIDS awareness

CHITTOOR: The Red Ribbon Express Train through its Kalajathara will enlighten people about the ill effects of AIDS disease from May 23 to 26 in the district, according to Suresh Kumar, Joint Collector.

Presiding over the district-level organising committee here on Thursday he has asked the officials concerned, to extend cooperation to this programme and make it successful. The Red Ribbon Express Train Cultural Team will cover 96 villages in Tirupathi Rural, Chandragiri, Renigunta, Srikalahasti, Vadamalapet, Narayanavanam and Puttur Mandals in the district for 4 days and create awareness among the people about the AIDS disease. The Red Ribbon Express train which started on 1st December at Delhi will cover 9,000 kms in 163 districts in the country. The programme will be inaugurated by Galla Aruna Kumari, Minister for Medical Education.on May 23.
