MD/MS examinations: Applications for the MD/MS examinations beginning on May 29 and for the postgraduate diploma in medicine beginning on May 30 can be submitted without fine till May 21 and with fine of Rs.50 till May 23.

College change: Applications have been invited from candidates for lateral entry to the third semester B.Tech. course (2008-09) in colleges affiliated to the University of Kerala.

Candidates who have completed the first two semesters of the B.Tech. programme in colleges under other universities in the State and who have qualified to join the third semester can apply.

Change of colleges would only be allowed between institutions that come under the same category and have similar fee structure.

Applications should be sent along with an attested copy of the rank certificate of the entrance examination, 2007, caste certificate (in the case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students), the pro-forma that can be downloaded from the university web site, processing fee of Rs.100 ( the pay-in-slip of the University) and the recommendation from the Principal of the college where the candidate is studying.

The last date for submitting applications is June 30.

Sanitation drive: Vice-Chancellor M.K. Ramachandran Nair will inaugurate the pre-monsoon sanitation drive on the Kariavattom campus of the university at 9.30 a.m. on May 16.

PG examinations (IDE): Applications for the final M.A./M.Sc./M.Com. (IDE) examinations which will begin on May 17 can be submitted without fine till May 28, with fine of Rs.50 on May 31 and with fine of Rs.250 on June 3.

Applications for the M.A./M.Sc./M.Com. previous (IDE) examinations that begin on July 9 can be submitted without fine till June 9, with fine of Rs.50 till June 12 and with fine of Rs.250 till June 16.

B.A. English: The viva-voce for students of B.A. English course at the IDE will be held at 10 a.m. on May 26 at the IDE, Kariavattom.

B.Sc. results: The results of the second semester B.Sc. Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry (restructured) examinations held in June have been published.

Applications for revaluation and scrutiny can be submitted till May 28.

LLM results: The results of the first semester LLM examinations held in January have been published.

Applications invited: Applications have been invited for the certificate in library science, nursery teacher training and Tally courses at TKM College of Fine Arts and Science conducted under the aegis of the Centre for Adult Continuing Education and Extension.

The minimum qualification for the Tally course is Plus Two.

For the other courses, the minimum qualification is pass in the SSLC examinations.

Students awaiting the results of these examinations can also apply.

The last date for submitting applications is 5 p.m. on May 20. Details can be had on phone 0474–2712240, 2711817 or 9447151334.

Alumni meet: The Department of Economics will host a seminar on the uses of statistics in modern branches of science on May 17.

An alumni meet will also be held in connection with the seminar.

The seminar will be inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor M.K. Ramachandran Nair at 10 a.m. on that day at the seminar hall of the Physics Department.
