RPG group plans to enter print media

KOLKATA: The R. P. Goenka group has become the latest entrant into the publications scene, with the conglomerate announcing the formation of a company, RPG Publications Pvt. Ltd., for spearheading its foray.

Lifestyle magazine

Enquiries revealed that the group would test waters by launching a lifestyle magazine through this new company which would be a subsidiary of the entertainment outfit of RPG, Saregama India Ltd (SIL). The subsidiary would be engaged in the publication of periodicals, and newspapers in the print media.

SIL on Thursday held a meeting of its committee of directors which approved investment in 100 per cent shares of the new company which would now become Saregama’s wholly-owned subsidiary.
