Robbers strike again in Cuttack

CUTTACK: A gang of robbers struck once again on Thursday robbing at least two more persons from the same locality within 24 hours of looting Rs 3 lakh from a transporter in Jagatpur area of the city the day before.

According to reports, some unidentified persons looted a businessman on Thursday, escaping with Rs 50,000 after breaking open his motorcycle dickey while another person was relieved of Rs 8000.

Although, two cases have been reported at the local police station, the police are not confirming the incidents. In another incident, it was also reported that Rs 3 lakh was looted from one Sk Sajid of Jajpur ditrict from the Badambadi bus terminus of the city on Thursday afternoon.

Reports say, Sajid after withdrawing the amount from the bank had kept the money in his motorcycle dickey. After having meal at a local restaurant he noticed that the amount was missing.
