Doctors’ strike affects services in Kerala
Staff Reporter
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: No clinical services, except emergency wings, functioned in any of the government hospitals and other healthcare institutions in rural areas in Kerala on Thursday following the one-day State-wide strike called by doctors in Health Service.
The strike was total though the government had declared ‘dies non’ if doctors struck work.
Government doctors, who have been on a non-cooperation strike for the past two years over pay revision, went on a day’s strike on Thursday as part of intensifying their agitation.
