Census of small enterprises from today

All registered companies will be surveyed

Krishnagiri: The Central Government is conducting the fourth All India Census of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from May 17 to July 31.
According to a Collectorate release, all registered enterprises and those who have filed the Entrepreneur Memorandum (E.M) would be surveyed during the census.
Data
The enumerators would collect data on production, raw materials, fuel, employment, exports, fixed assets, plant and machinery, equipment, products, services, net worth, loans taken by the enterprises and outstanding loans with them, and other characteristics. The census would also cover sick MSMEs. The Collector has requested all entrepreneurs concerned to cooperate with the enumerators and furnish accurate information.
Confidential
The information collected in the census would be kept confidential and used for statistical purposes alone.
The entrepreneurs of MSMEs registered permanently or filed E.M. till March 31, 2007 may report at the following address, in case no enumerator has approached the unit for data collection during the above period: General Manager, District Industries Centre, Krishnagiri, Industries Commissioner and Director of Industries and Commerce, Chepauk, Chennai.
