Teenager arrested for harassing girl

BANGALORE: A 15-year-old boy allegedly molested the seven-year-old daughter of a domestic in Mico Layout police station limits on Thursday. The police have taken up a case against the boy under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection) Act.

The girl would accompany her mother to the adjacent paying guest accommodation and the boy spotted her alone on Thursday and took her to a room on the third floor of the PG accommodation. This was seen by the girl’s younger sister. The girl started screaming, which drew her parents to the room. They caught the boy and handed him over to the Mico Layout police. The police sent the boy and the girl for medical examination. The boy will be sent to Observation Home, the police said.

Murdered

A 35-year-old flower vendor was stabbed to death in Cottonpet police station limits on Wednesday night. The police said the victim Tukaram was walking home inebriated when he was attacked and stabbed near Jali Mohalla.

Tukaram’s wife saw her husband injured and took the help of neighbours in admitting him to Victoria Hospital where he died.

Found dead

The body of Lokesh (22), an accused in many cases of extortion and assault, was found in the Kempambudhi Lake in Kempegowdanagar police station limits on Thursday.

A boy saw some men coming in an autorickshaw and throwing the body in the lake, the police said. The police said Lokesh has been stabbed.

Killed in accident

A 7-year-old boy was killed after he was hit by a motorcycle near Channasandra on Uttarahalli Main Road on Wednesday. The police said the incident occurred when the victim, Ravi, was returning home at Channasandra from his uncle’s house. Ravi died on the way to a hospital.

Jitendra Singh, 25, a mason was killed after he was hit by a lorry near Jayadeva Hospital on Bannerghatta Road on Wednesday. The police said he was going home in Palace Guttahalli on his motorcycle. He died at a hospital. The lorry driver abandoned his vehicle and fled the spot, the police said.

Body found

Body of a 30-year-old woman was found on the third floor of a building which was being constructed near Devaraja Urs truck terminal in RMC Yard police station limits on Thursday.

The body was found by the owner of the building during his inspection in the morning, the police said.
