BHOPAL: The Madhya Pradesh Government has gone in for a major administrative reshuffle before the next Assembly elections and issued transfer and posting orders for 25 senior IAS officers. On his return from deputation to the Centre, Alok Shrivastava, widely known here as an upright officer, has been posted as Commissioner (Environment) and Principal Secretary (Housing and Environment), Director-General Environment Planning and Coordination Organisation (EPCO). He would also head the Capital Project Administration. The Vice-Chairman of the Narmada Valley Development Authority and Additional Chief Secretary, Pradeep Bhargawa, has been relieved of additional charge as Commissioner Development and ex-officio Additional Chief Secretary. He has been relieved of his additional charge of Panchayat and Rural Development. Principal Secretary (Higher Education, Technical Education and Training) Snehlata Shrivastava has been given additional charge of Science and Technology. Commissioner (Industries) and State Industries Corporation Managing director Deepak Khandekar has been given additional charge as Managing Director of Laghu Udyog Nigam. Officers transferred at the Principal Secretary level include the Commissioner (Relief) and ex-officio Principal Secretary (Revenue and Rehabilitation), Devendra Singhai, Principal Secretary (Public Health and Family Welfare, Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation, Medical and IT) I. S. Dani, and the Principal Secretary (Housing and Environment), Devraj Birdi. While Mr. Singhai now gets transferred as Member-Secretary, State Planning Commission, and ex-officio Principal Secretary (Planning, Economics and Statistics and 20-Point Implementation Department), Mr. Dani has been posted as Commissioner (Development) and ex-officio Principal Secretary (Panchayat and Rural Development Department) and Dr. Birdi goes as Principal Secretary (Health). The Commissioner (State Housing Board), R. K. Swai, is the new Secretary (Public Health Engineering). Secretary (Finance and Labour) A. P. Shrivastava has been given additional charge of Commissioner (Relief) and ex-officio Secretary (Revenue and Rehabilitation) and Commissioner (Rehabilitation). The Secretary (Public Health Engineering Department), P. C. Meena, has been posted as Secretary (Labour). The Managing Director of Mining Development Corporation and ex-officio Secretary (Mining Department), Sevaram, has been posted as Secretary (Finance). The Jabalpur Commissioner, Anil Shrivastava, comes to Bhopal as Secretary (Panchayat and Rural Development). Member-Secretary State Planning Commission and ex-officio Secretary (Planning, Economics and Statistics, 20-Point Implementation and School Education) Manoj Jhalani has been designated Commissioner-cum-Director Rajya Shiksha Kendra. Secretary (Panchayat and Rural Development) Wasim Akhtar has been posted as Commissioner M.P. Housing Board. Excise Commissioner T. Dharmarao has been transferred as Secretary SC/ST Welfare while the present Secretary SC/ST Welfare, J.N. Kansotiya, goes as Secretary School Education. Secretary General Administration (GAD) and Public Grievances Redressal S. D. Agrawal has been appointed Commissioner of Chambal division. Secretary (Rural Development) and ex-officio Project Coordinator National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme Ashok Shah has been appointed Managing Director of the State Seeds and Farm Development Corporation. Registrar Cooperative Societies, P. K. Parashar has been designated Commissioner of Jabalpur Division. Commissioner Chambal Division Vishwamohan Upadhyay has been posted as Commissioner-cum-Registrar of Cooperative Societies. Director Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation and Managing Director M.P. Road Transport Corporation M. K. Varshney has been posted as Commissioner-cum-Director Indian system of Medicines and Homoeopathy and M.D. of MPRTC. M.D. Laghu Udyog Nigam and Chief Minister’s Secretary S.K. Mishra gets additional charge of Director Mining Development Corporation and ex-officio Secretary (Mining). K.C. Gupta, Secretary Revenue and Comptroller Government Press, has been relieved of the Revenue Secretary’s post. Secretary in the Chief Secretary’s Office, Seema Sharma, has been given additional charge of GAD. Chhindwara Collector Arun Pandey has been posted as Excise Commissioner at Gwalior. State Seed and Farm Development Corporation M.D. Rashmi Arun Shami goes as Director (Scheduled Tribes Regional Development Projects). She would also be in charge of National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.
