Raising social concerns

‘Pachamarathanalil’

Pachamarathanalil, scripted and directed by debutant Leo Thaddeus, takes pot-shots at some social issues.

For this reason, it falls through midway and turns mediocre in spite of top actors teaming up.

Sachidanandan (Sreenivasan) is a cartoonist working for a children’s magazine.

He lives with his wife Anu (Padmapriya), an accountant in a private firm, and daughter Sneha (Baby Ahana).

A smart kid, Sneha is the cynosure of all eyes. She is spotted by an advertisement filmmaker while performing at a school programme.

He approaches her to act in one of his films. With reluctance, Sachi agrees to the proposal. The mother has reservations for she fears it would affect the child’s studies. But, later, she agrees.

The shoot begins and the team is on its way to Pollachi when Sneha goes missing. Pachamarathanalil is produced by Sureshkumar for Revathy Kalamandir.
