KOCHI: A one-day workshop on ‘Promoting Business & Technology Incubation and Building Enterprises’ is being organised at Hotel Avenue Centre in the city on Saturday. Technopark and various other institutions, including Infopark, Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development (STED) and CUSAT are jointly organising the programme. This workshop is the second follow-up programme to Technopreneur 2008, a workshop series conducted earlier by Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram. It is aimed at prospective innovators and faculty members of engineering colleges in central Kerala. The event will focus on helping entrepreneurs to come up with marketable products and to incubate them in the Technology Business Icubator. It will be inaugurated by Dr. A.S. Rao, Advisor, Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR). H.K. Mittal, Advisor, DST, will deliver the keynote address. The major objective is to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in campuses of academic institutions and rural Kerala, according to a release.
