MANGALORE: Thimmappa of Nagori was on his way to an election booth to cast his vote when tragedy struck him. Knocked down by a motorcyclist around 7 a.m., Thimmappa died at a hospital. Mangalore Rural Police have registered a case. In another case, Mayyadi (42), resident of Haleyangadi was killed after he was hit by an iron ore-laden lorry, under Mangalore Rural (Kankanady) police limits.
