RGIA handles million passengers in 50 days

HYDERABAD: Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) has crossed the milestone of handling a million passengers in the first 50 days of its commercial operations since March 23, 2008.
There has been an increase in the air traffic movements (ATMs) and also the number of passengers by over 14 per cent as compared to the corresponding period of the previous year at the Begumpet airport, according to a release by GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd . The RGIA handled an average of 248 (220 domestic + 28 international) flights a day in the first 50 days of its operations as compared to 218 in the Begumpet airport in the corresponding period last year
