Sonia draws flak

HYDERABAD: The TDP has charged UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi with adopting different yardsticks while judging State governments headed by the Congress and those headed by other parties on controlling terrorism and price rise.

Addressing a press conference, TD parliamentary party leader K. Yerran Naidu said Ms. Gandhi rushed to Rajasthan within 48 hours of the bomb blasts in Jaipur, but she did not show the same gesture when similar blasts ripped through Hyderabad in the past. This was because the BJP was ruling in Rajasthan and her own party here. In fact Ms. Gandhi was in Rajahmundry just a few days after the blasts in Hyderabad, but failed to call on the victims, he said.
