TDP president indisposed

J.B.S. Umanadh

Duddeda (Medak): Suffering from high fever and nausea, Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu took time off from his 25-day-old ‘Meekosam’ yatra and confined himself to the air-conditioned van for sixteen hours at the AP College of Education campus here.

Mr. Naidu, who is suffering from exhaustion and sunstroke, addressed a public meeting at Siddipet on Thursday night and retired for the day.

He ventured out of the van only at 5 p.m. on Friday on his way to Cheriyal for another election meeting in Warangal district. A lone doctor who examined him said Mr. Naidu required bed rest as his temperature was 101 degrees. He advised the TDP leader to consume more liquids and to stay away from direct sunlight.

However, Mr. Naidu turned down the doctor’s advice to postpone the road shows saying that he would not relent on his commitment to the people and tour all the districts. His son Lokesh, senior party leaders Devender Goud, Yanamala and Yerran Naidu enquired about his health over telephone.

Later, addressing a press conference, the TDP president said he decided to limit his campaign to the morning and evening hours .
