Verification of revenue records begins

NAMAKKAL: Jamabandhi, the annual verification of revenue records meant for all the villages in the district began in the taluk offices here on Wednesday. District Revenue Officer G. Govindaraj inaugurated the Jamabandhi held in Namakkal and Tiruchengode taluk offices.
Accounts of Senthamangalam, Pachudaiyampalayam, Pottanam, Kondamanaickanpatti, Periyakulam, Bommasamudram, Akkiyampatti, Pallamparai and Puthukombai villages were verified at Namakkal taluk office.
In Tiruchengode, the accounts of Pillanatham, Koothanatham, Senbagamadevi, Mangalam, Mallasamudram (East and West), Mamundi, Pallakuzhi and Karumanur were verified.
Officials received over 2,000 petitions from residents during the Jamabandhi held in all the four taluks.
Mr. Govindaraj asked officials to verify the accounts properly during the process.
