360 huts destroyed in fire accident

VIZIANAGARAM: In a major fire accident at Jonnaguddi, 360 huts belonging to daily wage earners were destroyed on Saturday. The fire started in the house of one Chukka Eswara Rao around 12.20 p.m. and within minutes engulfed the entire area due to strong surface winds. Two persons who suffered burns were rushed to the hospital. According to estimates the loss would be over Rs. 50 lakh. - Correspondent
