Police rescue missing girl

TAMBARAM: More than a month after she went missing from her home in Tambaram, a 17-year-old girl was rescued from Kuniyamuthur in Coimbatore district and brought back on Friday.
The police said they rescued her after she lodged a complaint at Kuniyamuthur police station on Thursday.
According to the police, the girl and was staying with her elder sister and attended classes at a tutorial college here. The police said that the girl gave her consent to marry one Abdul Rahman (44).
On April 11, the girl went with Abdul Rahman to Palakkad before settling down in a house at Kuniyamuthur.
During the course of her stay there, she learnt that Abdul Rahman was already married.
