Arrangements for registration

Staff Reporter

Meant for candidates passing out Plus Two examinations held in March this year

PUDUKOTTAI: With a view to avoiding over-crowding and congestion as was witnessed in the past years, the Employment Exchange here has made special arrangements to register the names candidates passing out the Plus Two examinations held in March this year. The mark-list of the public examination is to be issued on May 21. With the campus of the Exchange not being too spacious to accommodate the candidates, the entire revenue district has been divided into two sub-divisions -- Pudukottai and Aranthangi.

To de-congest the candidates, two special registration centres had been designated -- Nizam Arabic Oriental Higher Secondary School in Pudukottai and the Government Boys’ Higher Secondary School in Aranthangi. Candidates from Pudukottai, Tirumayam, Alankudi, Kulathur, Iluppur and Gandarvakottai taluks can register themselves at Pudukottai and others from Aranthangi, Avudaiyarkovil and Manamelkudi taluks at Aranthangi, the Assistant Director of Employment, N. Muralidharan, said. He told The Hindu here on Saturday that apart from the employees of the Exchange, seven staff members from the Collectorate would be pressed into service — four in Pudukottai and three at Aranthangi. Services of volunteers would also be utilised at Aranthangi for preliminary verification of certificates and other documents.

The centres would function from May 21 to 30 except the intervening week-end holidays on May 24 and 25.
