Man commits suicide

A 40-year-old man, who attempted suicide by consuming poison at Mehdipatnam on Thursday, died while undergoing treatment at Osmania General Hospital on Friday. Police said B. Prabhakar Reddy of Asifnagar, ended his life after his son reportedly failed in the SSC examination.

One dies after consuming toddy

A security guard, K. Ashok, 40, died after consuming spurious toddy along with his two friends at L. B. Nagar on Friday. The condition of Ashok’s friends – Mahender and Yadagiri – is serious. They are residents of Uppuguda. Police are trying to trace the toddy shop owner.
