Association to launch web site

KUMBAKONAM: The Tamil Nadu Pharmaceutical Traders’ Association will soon start its web site, on which, besides administrative matters, details about drugs will be available for the benefit of consumers.

A resolution to this effect was passed at the State executive committee meeting of the association held recently at Kumbakonam.

It was resolved to start a corporate company by uniting 5.5 lakh small drug stores in the country to face the challenge from the big traders and to prevent them from entering into retail market.

As a first step all India pharmaceutical traders association started a corporate company with an investment of Rs.60 crore in Maharashtra.

B. Arumugam, State president of the association, M. Arul Kumar, State general secretary, and P. Chandrasekaran, treasurer, participated in the meeting.

S. Ramalingam, Chairman, Thiruvidaimaruthur panchayat union, K. Anbazhagan, member, district panchayat council, A.S.A.M. Adiyan Chettiar, president, federation of all traders association offered felicitations.

Chola. C. Mahendran, Thanjavur district secretary of the Thanjavur district Pharmaceutical Traders’ Association, A.N. Viswam, president, K. Chandrabose, treasurer, participated in the meeting.
