Warning against misuse of LPG cylinders

CUDDALORE: District Revenue Officer S. Natarajan has issued a stern warning against the misuse of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders meant for the households for any other purposes. In a statement released here he said that a large number of complaints were being received stating that the cooking gas cylinders had found their way into commercial establishments, including teashops and eateries, marriage halls and automobiles. There were also complaints on pilferage of the LPG refills or supplying below the prescribed quantum. Mr. Natarajan said legal measures would be initiated against those indulging in illegal activities.
