St. Britto’s is champion

KOLKATA: St. Britto’s High School (Goa) emerged the winner of the National tournament of the Tata Tea-Arsenal soccer stars at the Howrah Municipal Stadium here on Saturday. The Goa school defeated Angel’s (Bangalore) 8-7 via tiebreaker after both teams were goalless in the regulation and extra time.

The other award winners: Myron Fernandes (St Britto’s, highest goal scorer), Karim Mistry (St. Lawrence HS, Kolkata, most valuable player) and Avijit Dey (ASC School, Bangalore, best goalkeeper). — Special Correspondent
