FSCA wins Dicky memorial

CHENNAI: Ashwath Mukunthan (46) and M. Karthik (three for nine) helped FSCA defeat CSSF ‘A’ and claim the Dicky memorial under-13 cricket tournament which concluded here.

The following awards were given by TNCA secretary K.S. Viswanathan, Assistant Secretary Julius Vijayakumar, and former State cricketer B. Kalyanasundaram.

The awards: Best Batsman: Mukunth (Prahlad CC); Best Bowler: Md. Affan Khader (CSSF ‘A’); Promising Cricketer: Karthik (FSCA); Man of the Tournament: U. Vishal (Combined Districts).

The score (final): FSCA 136 for eight in 30 overs (Ashwath Mukunthan 46) bt CSSF ‘A’ 101 in 23.3 overs (M. Karthik three for nine).

Kannaiah CA triumphs

Asiatic CA and Kannaiah CA clinched the under-12 and u-14 titles in the Asiatic CA annual summer cricket tournament held here.

The scores (finals): U-12: Pace CA 101 for eight in 25 overs (M.S. Wasington Sundar 33) lost to Asiatic CA 102 for one in 21.3 overs (Dinesh Kumar 43 not out, S. Rohit 25, S. Swaminathan 25 not out).

U-14: Kannaiah CA 168 for six in 25 overs (Mitchell 55, T. Sathya 26) bt Asiatic CA 96 for nine in 25 overs (S. Vishwesh three for 21).

Sudersan hits century

Sudersan’s 123 was instrumental in Asiatic CA scripting a 49-run win over Prahlad CA ‘B’ in the Prahlad under-13 cricket tournament held here recently.

The scores: Asiatic CA 236 for one in 30 overs (Sudersan 123 , V. Akash 78) bt Prahlad CA ‘B’ 187 for nine in 30 overs (M. Sairam 49, D. Sanjay 46 ).

J.S. Rao CA 163 in 28.2 overs (S. Harshavardhan 25, R.Kavin 25, S. Krupa Sankar 51) bt MG CA 64 in 23.5 overs (S. Harshavardhan four for 15).
