Deve Gowda turns 76

BANGALORE: The former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) national president H.D. Deve Gowda turned 76 on Sunday. Mr. Gowda celebrated his birthday by offering prayers at the Lord Venkateshwara temple in Tirupati along with wife, Chennamma Deve Gowda. His eldest son Balakrishne Gowda and two daughters were also present with him.

Mr. Gowda returned to Bangalore on Sunday afternoon. Later, he left for Bagalkot to campaign for the party in the third phase of polling. — Special Correspondent
