MALAPPURAM: The State Sports and Youth Affairs Department will join hands with the State Kalaripayattu Association and the District Sports Council to conduct Kalari Fest 2008 on the banks of the Bharatapuzha at Tirunavaya on Monday and Tuesday. Sports Minister M. Vijayakumar will inaugurate the Kalari Fest, which will have seminars on the martial art, an exhibition of Kalari equipment, a cultural procession and Kalarippayattu demonstration. About 750 Kalari experts 100-odd Kalari teachers from all over the State will take part. District Collector M.C. Mohandas said that the festival would be conducted every year at Tirunavaya.
