Woman found murdered

Special Correspondent

CHANDIGARH: The 33-year-old Anuradha Singh, wife of a property dealer Baljinder Singh, was found murdered at their Sector 38 home here on Saturday night.

Her two children were locked in another room and the house had been ransacked.

The husband told the police that he had returned from a discotheque late in the night and found that the throat of his wife had been slit and the domestic servant, Nikku, who had been employed by the couple for the past five years was reportedly missing.

The police launched a hunt for the servant and the local guard reportedly told the investigators that he had seen the servant leaving the house after midnight with two other on his motorcycle.

Body of servant found

Meanwhile, the Punjab Police recovered a body near Ropar, 50 kilometres away from here, which interestingly Mr. Baljinder Singh reportedly identified as that of the main suspect---the missing servant Nikku. Further investigations are on.
