THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations has invited applications from candidates for postgraduate medical super-specialty courses for 2008.

An entrance examination will be conducted in Thiruvananthapuram on June 28, 2008 (Saturday) and June 29, 2008. There will be two papers — each of one-and-a-half-hour duration — and the questions will be of multiple choice type.

Details regarding the courses and eligibility are given in the prospectus issued by the Director of Medical Education.

Application forms can be downloaded from the web site www.cee-kerala.org from May 18.

The last date for submitting application forms is June 12. Details can be had on the CEE web site, a press note issued here said.

B.Arch. course

The minimum qualification for admission to the Bachelor of Architecture course 2008 has been revised as per the directives of the Council of Architecture, a press note issued by the CEE, said.

Accordingly, the qualifications for admission to the B.Arch. course are 10 + 2 examination or its equivalent from a recognised board with mathematics as a subject of study by securing 50 per cent marks in the aggregate, or, 10+ 3 diploma in any stream recognised by Central/State governments with 50 per cent marks in the aggregate, or, International Baccalaureate diploma after 10 years of schooling with not less than 50 per cent marks in the aggregate and with maths as compulsory subject of examination.

For candidates in the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe and OBC categories, the aggregate is 45 per cent in the above examinations.

Admissions to the B.Arch. course will be subject to a candidate passing in the NATA conducted by the Council; the pass score is 80 out of 200 for all categories of candidates.

Candidates who have applied for the B.Arch. course should forward attested copies of mark lists and NATA the score card so as to reach the CEE by June 12. The allotment and admission to the B.Arch. course in 2008-09 will be based on this revised qualification prescribed by the Council of Architecture, the press note added.
