Madhepura: A district court has awarded life imprisonment to 22 persons for their involvement in a murder case dating back to September 1996 in Bihar’s Madhepura district. Fast track court judge A K Srivastava after hearing both the sides on Saturday found 22 people guilty of killing one Ram Narain Yadav at Kabiyahi village on September 9,1996 and sentenced them to life imprisonment. All the accused persons sentenced to life imprisonment had entered Mr. Yadav’s house, committed dacoity and then killed him by slitting his throat with a sharp weapon, the police said in its investigation report.
